Brushing Your Teeth

Brushing is typically recommended at least twice a day. We encourage brushing after each meal, because bacteria can become more active soon after eating. If you have any questions about maintaining healthy brushing habits, please feel free to speak with us during your next visit.


Flossing

Flossing is important to reach the areas where your toothbrush cannot. It can reduce the buildup of plaque between your teeth and reduce the risk of gum disease.


Professional Cleaning

Brushing and flossing are important to keeping your mouth healthy, but these measures do not remove all stains or plaque on your teeth. At Dr. R. Wilczek Inc., we recommend coming in for a professional cleaning every 6 months. Contact us to schedule a convenient appointment.


Dental Care for Children

Letting your child become acquainted with your dental office is an important way to establish healthy dental care habits. It also allows dentists to perform visual inspections and provide instructions for optimal hygiene practices. Check-ups early on can detect any possible problems and allows for the review of your child’s oral development. We recommend bringing your child to the dentist when they are at 1 year of age.
